About Us

Founded in 1965 as the Volunteer Bureau of Tucson, Volunteer Southern Arizona is a HandsOn Action Center that positively impacts the lives of over 1.3 million people each year.  It offers youth service learning and leadership opportunities, volunteer management and nonprofit board development training, targeted volunteer opportunities for older adults, disaster preparedness services, comprehensive volunteer recruitment and referral for hundreds of area nonprofits, early literacy and mentoring programs.  The organization is a Southern Arizona hub for National Service, placing AmeriCorps*, AmeriCorps*VISTA and Senior Corps National Service members with nonprofit organizations throughout the service region.  Volunteer Southern Arizona is located at 924 N. Alvernon Way, Tucson.
